Chimera allows you to connect existing sensors from your car to the RP CAN bus. With Chimera, you’ll be able to read in data such as vehicle speed, steering angle, brake light switch pressed, cruise control stalk output, and more. This device bridges the gap between your car and the rest of the RP hardware ecosystem by converting these signals into ones the devices can all understand. Chimera is capable of receiving these signals either from CAN, or from digial/analog sources. Once configured using the utility, Chimera outputs all this information in the standard RetroPilot format, defined by the ocelot_controls DBC.
